We had the worse experience ever when we "ate" at the Pizza Hut on Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo. The "greeter" was so inept, asked if we wanted to order from the menu or dine off the buffet. When we remarked the buffet would be fine, provided it was going to be replenished with everything (few slices of pizzas visible, dried up pasta and no salad in either bowl). Assured that this would be done, we said we would go for the buffet and ordered two coffees. We waited 20 minutes or more before the coffee was brought to the table, then went up to the buffet, where nothing had changed (no replinishment having taken place). By this time we were very hungry so took some of the pizza which by this time was getting leathery and cool, went back to buffet, still no more food put out and no waiter in sight! We never got offered a coffee refill (how could we, the "waiter/greeter" was still "missing". Finally gave up, and got up to pay for a non-existent meal at which time the young waiter appeared to ring up our bill. He had the audacity (or perhaps he is just brain dead), to ask if we enjoyed our meal!!!!! Well, we told him like it was and he apologized and said his manager had told him she did not intend to refill the buffet table - we told him it would have been nice if he had told us this so we could have ordered from the menu and might possibly have had something edible and fresh instead of old and cold!
I wrote a letter to the manageress telling her how disappointed we were with regard to this whole situation, and 11 days later have had no response.

Great Customer Service!!!! They need to smarten up because Nanaimo is fortunate in that we have many excellent restaurants (in the same price range as the Pizza Hut) with efficient staff and very good food.
